Research Notes:
shown in Scots Peerage as daughter of Alexander Master of Montgomerie, however no evidence is cited [Ref: MacEwen 7Countesses Lennox p181]

Crawford and Douglas called her a daughter of the first Lord Montgomery, and named her variously Margaret, Mary, and Elizabeth. Wood established her as daughter of Master of Montgomery, by little more than guesswork [Ref: MacEwen 7Countesses Lennox p181]

likely that she was a sister of Hugh Montgomery of Thornton [Ref: MacEwen 7Countesses Lennox p182]
