1290: at Birgham, he conserted to the marriage of Princess Margaret to Prince Edward of England [Ref: SP V p333]

said to have died between 1290 and 1292, but there are reasons for believing that he survived until several years later [Ref: SP V p333]

14 Mar 1295/6: swore fealty to Edward I [Ref: SP V p334]

28 Aug 1296: again swore fealty to Edward I [Ref: SP V p334]

24 May 1297: letter from Edward I requiring him to give obedience to Treasurer Cressingham during the King's absence in France [Ref: SP V p334]

Sep 1303: Margaret wrote to the English King desiring aid against John Comyn of Badenoch; it is probably that she was then a widow, as she wrote in her own name [Ref: SP V p334]

1305: Malcolm, Earl of Lennox, petitioned King Edward I that the 100 merks paid for his relief might be allowed in his ransom and the balance discharged, which suggests that he had then no tlong succeeded to the earldom, and was paying the usual casualty to the superior [Ref: SP V p334]
