Sir William Borthwick (her father) would have been b. ca 1375. Therefore Margaret m. Sir John Maxwell, b. ca 1403, would have been dau of this Sir William Borthwick rather than of his son of that name as at SP II p97 [Ref: Thompson CharlesII v13-95(95)]
