inherited Barony of Hook Norton from father [Ref: Sanders Baronies p54]

1142: succeeded his father as baron of Hook Norton [Ref: Keats-Rohan DD p620]

from the data presented by Rosie Bevan in Foundations, vol 1 p194-197 (2004), it seems clear there were only two Henry de OILLYs (one who d.1163 and m. Maud de BOHUN, and one who d.s.p 1262) [Ref: CP++ Warwick 12/5/2004 (CP XII/2 p363)]

as son of Henry I d'OILLY (d.1163) and Matilda de BOHUN, he was twice married, to Sibil and to Matilda de Canteloup, and left issue a son Henry (d.s.p 1232) and two daughters Margery and Margaret. Margery, wife of Henry de Newburgh, earl of Warwick (d.1229) inherited the whole of the d'Oilly barony of Hook Norton in 1232 [Ref: Keats-Rohan DD p621]

1156: was excused Danegeld in Yorkshire, presumably on Ivo's (his uncle's) lands [Ref: Sanders Baronies p50(2)]
